Jerdan Wedding
September 18, 2011
I can’t even express how beautiful this wedding was. Ozgur and Allison chose to see each other before the ceremony, and it made for a relaxing and wonderful day. I hope the pictures show the grace and peace.
I was assisted at this wedding by one of Allison’s childhood friends, Lindsay, who did a wonderful job. Her pictures are marked with a ** below them.

This summer I flew to Orlando and shot a beautiful wedding full of grace and truth. Here’s my favorites:

Goodbye 2010!
December 31, 2010
There’s a question that I’m sure every teacher will hear at some point in his/her career, at least based on the number of times I’ve heard already in my short tenure.
“Ms. Snixie, is our class your favorite?”
I always tell my classes that I don’t have favorites, but that each class period is just different. I compare them to ice cream. Some days pumpkin is my favorite, other days it’s cool and refreshing mint chocolate chip. The next day it may be banana pudding or even rainbow sherbet. It all depends on my mood.
Pictures are often like classes. Although I have no one favorite, different pictures grab my heart at different times. These are 10 of the pictures that I kept coming back to in 2010. I hope you enjoy this look back, and I’d like to say a huge thank you to all my clients and friends. Even though this post does not include you all (I had to limit myself to 10 or it would never stop!), I am grateful for the opportunity to capture your lives.
Here’s to 2011!

Cheers to 2010!

Sargent Wedding

Oh, I could say so much about this wedding. This is another Camp Lurecrest wedding (the Osborne wedding was also one) and I am so thankful to have worked with Madison and David over many summers. I knew them separately and I knew them together and they are wonderful. I cannot imagine a more fun couple, and their wedding was a fantastic reflection of that.
I could write oodles and oodles of comments on each picture – but I hope that the story is clear through the pictures. Enjoy!

I want to thank my friend Josiah for second shooting with me. I honestly couldn’t tell you which of these were his and which were mine – which is the mark of an excellent second shooter. He was fantastic. Thanks Josiah!
What a great way to end 2010!

Osborne Wedding – Part 4

Let’s see if we can finish this one, shall we?
Anna Carol’s pictures marked with **
It was raining really hard when we went to do formals…luckily we were at a farm with LOTS of buildings.

Pockets?

These were some expert jumpers. Expert.

When I say it was raining, I mean it!

A little American Gothic?

They had Contra Dancing.

** The barn was beautiful.

After a little bit of the reception, I grabbed Sam away to do a few bridals around the reception barn. The light was perfect and she knows how to work it.

This might be one of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken. Simple and beautiful.

Modern Bride, anyone?

Look at that ring!

And one last formal.

I am so grateful for this couple and for the privilege of sharing with them.
Cheers,

Parts 1 and 2 were previous!
I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to get to these. Starting a new job will do that to you!
Here is part 3 of the wedding. Anna Carol’s pictures, again, are marked with **.

Osborne Wedding – Part 1
August 8, 2010
This is a dear wedding to me.
First of all, Samantha and Ryan are dear friends. I met the two of them before they began to date – back at camp in 2006 where he was relentless about flirting with her and she said “No, he doesn’t like me” in response. None of us were surprised when they showed up the next summer dating.
Sam took a year’s break from camp after that, but it was a joy to me to be able to work with both her and Ryan last year. She was a dear confidant and supporter and hanging out with the two of them on the weekends was the highlight of my summer. So clearly I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding.
Second, it was a beautiful place. Hodgin Valley Farm was one of my favorite farms I’ve been on. Filled with old buildings and beautiful fields, I could have shot there all day. We were able to spend the night there before the wedding and our room in the house was wonderful!
Third, it was an adventure. Having an outdoor wedding meant that Sam and Ryan had to decide whether or not to brave the rain. If you know them at all you know that they are adventurous to the core, and they decided to not let a little drizzle stop them from getting married outside. Luckily they had a fantastic wedding planner in Sue McCain of Bella Wedding and Event Planning. She and her team did a wonderful job of moving things around (and NOT moving things around) in order to make a wonderful day for Sam and Ryan.
Fourth, it was such a fun wedding. At the reception, the food was delicious and the band, The Hush Puppies, kept everyone entertained. There was even contra dancing!
Fifth, I had a fantastic second shooter by my side. Anna Carol did a wonderful job and I had so much fun shooting with her. The pictures that she took are marked by two asterisks**.
I loved it so much I couldn’t narrow them down for just one post. So please, enjoy!

A few months ago I had the privilege of second shooting again for Allison Elizabeth Photography. This time, the wedding was in the beautiful Daniel Chapel on Furman University’s campus. Caitlin and Will’s day was full of sweet love and joy and beautiful, beautiful music. I was very excited to shoot with Allison again. The beautiful late night reception was held at The Sawmill at North Main in Greenville, and the food there was fantastic!

This past weekend I had the enormous privilege of second shooting for Allison Elizabeth Photography. Allison is a wonderful photographer based out of Greenville, SC and her work is fantastic. The wedding was not only one of the most beautiful I’ve ever been to, but also one of the most FUN. After the reception finished up with tons of dancing at the Duncan Estate, the party continued with an afterparty! Molly and Joe were serious about their dancing. ![]()
It was a joy to shoot with Allison and such a delightful day to be a part of!

Isn’t the Duncan Estate gorgeous?

(This is Molly’s younger brother, who was one of the groomsmen)

Some of the super-awesome bridesmaids for helped me get these last two shots. ![]()
